 Lily is a Design Communication graduate from CIT and she also holds an honours degree in Art for Art Design Teaching from Crawford College of Art & Design. When devising her intricate pieces she takes her inspiration from the patterns in nature and especially those found in flowers. This is particularly evident in these works form her Gold Series which focus on the intrinsic relationship between the sun and floral life, Lily describes the work from this series as “bright flowers that interact and tell their story with the sun weathered background”. Created using a combination of acrylic, gold leaf and rapidograph pen on canvas the result is a striking yet delicate artwork that is a wonderful expression of the natural world.
