A Cork native, Niamh graduated with a BA in Fine art from the Crawford College of Art in 2001. Since completing an MA in Fine Art from the Greys School of Art, Aberdeen, Scotland in 2004 Niamh has exhibited widely throughout the UK and Ireland in both solo and group shows.
The essence of her abstract landscape paintings lies in the exploration of the mutability of the physical in both natural and man made environments. Niamh describes her artwork as being "involved with accelerating the process of inevitability, this is achieved through creating a paintied composition that is constructed in careful detail in order to have its many layers, colours and textures scratched and scraped away in simulation of erosion, a process that links everything we can see"
Niamhs work is included in a number of public collections including University College Cork and Wallace Architects, Killarney as well as private collections national and international
