Nora graduated from Crawford College of Art & Design with a degree on Fine Art in 2010 and has been working full time as an artist since then.
The energy and movement of the sea and the peaceful flow of a stream or freshwater pond are primary sources of inspiration for her. Nora attributes this to her early childhood experiences living in rural West Cork to then being part of my working life at the Department of Zoology in UCC.
"Biological Research work continually takes one out into the Natural world whether it’s to a stream, woodland or the ocean. In my Art work Paint and Inks create vibrant colour while many different materials allows one to build up texture as a contrast in the “fluid”environment " she says.
Nora's work forms part of a number of public collections including Colaiste Stiofan Naofa & The National Maratime College in Ringaskiddy as well as private collections on Ireland, US & Australia
