Pat first discovered a love of painting while still at school at Blackrock College, under the tutelage of John Coyle R.H.A, but it would be another 28 years before he would devote himself to it completely.  During that time he studied under an impressive array of accomplished artists including Kenneth Webb, Thomas Ryan, and Chris Jones.

He has exhibited widely throughout Ireland and his work is included in many private and public collections. He has also sold extensively in the USA.
